but some things arent rubbish, like pizza, music, ferrets.

I forgot consumerism: you get what you pay for, so if you think it's all rubbish, you aren't spending enough.

And then there's the Protestant work ethic, which loosely translate into you get what you work for (i.e. deserve) therefore, maybe rubbish is what's just and appropriate for the likes of some people...

The sound of Rubbish? I know I know!   The Roo (my cat) got locked outside last night and when I let her in this morning, man was she rubbish.   And the sound was definitely purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I just heard on BBC Radio 4 that an exhibit at an art gallery was a sack of rubbish, [I think it was The Tate Modern, London, but not sure], but the cleaner threw it out!
The "Artist" that created it was annoyed at having his work thrown away, and made another one [must have taken him all of 2 minutes!

This new sack of rubbish, sorry "Work of Art", is locked away each night, to stop the cleaners throwing it away!

The fact of us being rubbish, however does not excuse us and we're all in for a right pasting when God catches up with us.
However even though we are unworthy rubbish and much our behaviour is rubbish - he will be merciful.

Anything a human being deeply believes IS his religion and his main motivation in life. Conclusion: all human beings are religious, whether or not they believe in "God". Atheists included. :-) I never met an atheist yet who was not deeply religious about something...if not several things. To find out what a person is capable of, and can be expected to do...determine first what his chosen religion is. It may be making money, it may be having a lot of possessions, it may be professional accomplishment in his field of activity, it may be romance, it may just be sex, it may be "being cool", it may be gaining other people's acceptance, it may be raw survival, it may be "success", it may be popularity, it may be fame, it may be the desire for martyrdom, revenge, or justice (as he sees justice), it may even (in a very few cases) be to seek out and know what he terms "God" or the Absolute.

The last group is rather few in number these days!

But they all have one thing in common...they imagine that there is a great reward waiting at the end of their chosen rainbow. :-)

How many of them are right about that?

I think religon might be rubbish, but i'm not sure really.
[Some of the nicest people i've ever met have been religos people, but some of the biggest arseholes i've met have been religos people, so i'm not sure about this one really.
