Quote from Dave Stringer on another site last month

"    Been great to see these messages and the continuing interest. I was JK's agent for all the acoustic / folk club work, pre-'Outside'. Jon did a floor spot near Doncaster in January THIS YEAR - first time on stage for 30 years. I am seeing him this weekend, to talk about a 'Reunion Tour' or maybe more. I'll be interested to hear from any fans and will update you with news as it comes along. The songs - old and new - are still magic and so is Jon. Watch this space... "

If you're interested please mail the guy to encourage his efforts.

Hey Dave, remember me to John. I have very good memories of working with him and having him as a guest at my Broadside club in the 70's. Let us know where we might see Jonathan Kelly reborn.

I recall him in the "Whistle Test" doing "Down On Me". Also I think he recorded with some old acquaintances of mine in Mighty Baby. It's good he's still around.

Hello Everyone.
Just to let you know that at long last there is a Jonathan Kelly Website,www.jonathankelly.co.uk which I hope people will find interesting. If Dave Stringer would like to contact me regarding it, I would appreciate it as I have had no replies to my emails.
Enjoy the site.

Jonathan Kelly back on stage.....Wow there is a God! I saw Jon for my one and only time as support for Fairport Convention at the Rainbow in 1970ish. I so enjoyed his songs that I went out and bought Twice around the Houses the following day (I still have the album) and know the songs pretty well off by heart. I just happened to be playing some old folk stuff on my pc and by chance did a search on Jonathan and find that he is back on stage....wonderful! If you are in touch with him please send my thanks and regards for all the happy hours that one album has given me over the years....and judging from the comments on this and other sites I am not alone. Any chance of a new album?

Just a reminder that Jonathan Kelly is appearing at the Ravenswood, Sharpthorne near East Grinstead Sussex
on Monday 6th Feb ....   check out http://www.acousticsussex.org.uk/

I like many others was a big Jk fan in the 1970s and i went to as many concerts as i could and he never dissapointed, over the years i often thought i wish i could attend another JK concert but it seemed impossible until i had some inside information that he would do a short set in Rotherham which would be his first appearence for 30 years and I was lucky enough to see Jonathan that night at his 4 song comeback in the middle of 5 or 6 singers, well i say 4 songs it was actually 5 songs as he dosen't like to dissapoint anyone and when i said its a shame he didn't do my favorite, ( not for any other reason but a talking point ), he managed to find a guitar and he did a great version of chains in the doorway ( in fact almost in the car park ) as the last of the audience were leaving, there wasn't many of us left but the ones who were included the likes of Steve Womack and as it was totally unexpected we all looked on in amazement because this was no average attempt just quickly done to appease, it sounded great. I was also lucky enough to attend his two very successful concerts since then including some great new songs he sung at the second one and even though it was the first time anyone had heard them they really stuck in the mind, ( great songs do at first hearing ) and there's no question when he asks what do you want me to do, even though it hasn't been recorded yet Eileen will be shouted out by most of the people who heard it.
if you haven't visited jonathans website yet its worth a look at www.jonathankelly.co.uk

Jonathan Kelly is a truly great songwriter and performer, if you remember him from the 70s do yourself a favour and attend one of his concerts, or more than one because once you've seen him you will want to again,
if you dont remember him do yourself a favour and attend one of his concerts because if you do you'll certainly remember him in the future.
He's also a very nice guy, if you have any memories of him in the past he'll be quite happy to chat to you about them, or if you just want to say hello do so.

             Regards,
                Folkster

Someone is mailing Festivals on his behalf to try and get them to book JK this summer.

I wonder if any will.

Sadly I'm not.
