Is anyone going to World Sword Spectacular 2004 at Whitby over the Bank Hol?
40 Sword & Rapper teams from 11 countries dancing around Whitby (& 'The Endevour' is in town too).
I'll be there with Southport Swords & my wife with Red Rose Rapper, lets hope the weather holds.

Manitas will be there with East Saxon Sword - please take a picture of him and give it to Mrs Duck - she thinks he's a cardboard cutout.

He's the shortest one with a beard.

I'm staying at home because someone is coming to take the Limpit away on Saturday for a week! Bliss.....

It used to be considered quite an honour for the dancers to make a lock around ones neck, Raggy - I was just musing on the most efficient way of removing the lock intact !

Great Meadows Sword & Morris are friends of mine from the Boston, MA area; my team's concertina player's daughter (phew!) dances with Slightly Green.

The last time I was in Whitby for the Sword Spectacular there were a couple of regular sessions in the town. I don't expect there to be anything organised by the festival - any singing will have to be spontaneous. Pete Coe sane a lot on the coach tour thought.

Manitas ........... you've been to whitby for festivals, you know how busy it gets ........... if you want serving you need to present the bar staff with something to put your drink in otherwise, basically, you don't stand a chance of getting served ........ the fact that my "pint" tankard holds just shy of a quart has nothing to do with it
