We should be up there - but we don't take the stall as such so if you want any badges PM me in advance.

Saltburn is 5 miles from The Watering Hole and last year we popped over by bus on the Saturday afternoon for a session.

Pete I try every year but he's got one or two problems at home, his mother's 94, and he's a tight wallet anall!!

He will be at Whitby for the week with the rest of the lads and usually sets out his stall out in the Tap and Spile
I'll tell him you asked about him, he's still singing
I'll see you in Saltburn
Cheers Ray P

FEstival only two weekends away, good weather now gauranteed !!- Moor and Coast wiil be there anyway and I'll be there for breakfast, if they've forgiven me for trying to play concertina at Saddleworth FF

FRED JORDAN memorial competition now hotting up, will definitely run as I've received minimum needed, at least two more in the pipe line to my knowledge and I expect usual flutter of last minute entries 'on the day' as it were

That's a long way to travel Pete, last years there were one or two from Australia, The Poms from Oz were there on the final night and they are in UK again seen 'em at Saddleworth again this year

Talking or Ozzies, the mighty Cloudstreet have taken UK by storm this year, not at Saltburn ~ but will be at Fylde FF, they don't half work 'ard!

The official fringe is so extensive that the best reason to buy a season ticket is to enter the singing competition :0)

Looks like a great Festival irrespective of the weather.

The scheduling seems fine to me!

It's all to do with full weekends - The Edge and Warwick were both earlier than usual because Sunday was 1st August.

Has thrown quite a few people this year.

See you Friday.

Anyone who saw Bob Fox and Vin Garbutt play (together)on Sunday afternoon witnessed the very VERY best of British Folk.
Fabulous songs musicianship and bloody funny too.
It was great for me to put some faces on the Mudcatters names - great to see and talk to you all.
Thanks to you all.

Can't believe that I didn't manage to see you, Pete, but then there was so much to do. This was a great festival and Saltburn (and the weather) did us proud.

Thanks to everyone who came to my workshops.

My personal high spot was the Sat Morning "Harmony Meet" with Quartz, Threllfall's et al, and Barrie and Ingrid Temple.

Joan came second this year, and the winner was Christine Richardson from "Welsh" (Swansea, actually), who sang Alan Bell's Alice White and Judy Small's Mary Parker's Lament

And was it worth being a Saltburn Virgin then Col's Angel? Thanks for pouring me into that taxi, I really wasn't sure I would manage the hill!

Saltburn was great!

Vin Garbutt & Bob Fox on stage together were worth the entire weekend!
And who on this earth knows HOW the Wilsons managed to stay standing for their 1am set, they all had a pint in their hand at 11am the previous morning at the meet and greet with Th' Antiques Roadshow!
Proper Bloody Folkies!
