In the thread entitled 'High Atmosphere', I think we have come up with The Mudcat's theme song.

This is after reading the 'World' thread and discovering the average age of us here.

Is this song about all at The Mudcat? It contains the hook line --- 'The voices of the old in the high atmosphere'?

Any other suggestions for a Mudcat theme song?

Not a bad idea, shambles--I don't consider myself old, but I did learn my first traditional songs from a man born in 1877 (my grandfather), and when I'm at my country hideaway, on certain nights when the wind is just right and the trees aren't breathing too loudly, I still hear his voice in the high atmosphere.

I modestly note that there is one strong candidate for a theme song -- "Max "-- in the thread "Homage to Max D. Spiegel" from last year.

What about altering "Hopelesssly addicted to the web" to "Hopelessly addicted to the Cat"?

Imagine : a Blues song --------- " No-good,Lonsome,Lowdown Mudcat Blues." or Bluegrass ---------- "The Mocking Bird's a'singing for Me Down in Mudcat Hollow" or Old Time ---------- " We Were Mudcaters When Our Love Was Young" or ---------------------"Molly O Mudcat"
