I have a request from someone in British Columbia who heard a song on CBC. They forgot which day, but it was somewhere between the 14 and 16th of July. The singer was a woman, who was identified as Carolyn Arnell. But she could have misheard and it might be Yarnell. I'ved tried several combinations of the name and nothing has come up. The only other thing she remembers is the title, which was identified as The Hill Behind Margaret's House.

Would anyone know of such a song by a performer whose name is similar to that given above?
Sorry for the incomplete information, but that's all she had remembered when she got around to writing it down.

BTW, I did a playlist search through the CBC for Sounds Like Canada and Richardson's Roundup for the three days mentioned. Nothing showed up there. There are some other nationwide shows I haven't checked. Of course it could be regional broadcasting. There are still a few slots in the morning, noon and afternoon for regional shows. Also, I don't know if it might have been Radio Two.

I just got word back from the requestor. Apparently she got hold of the local CBC office, and asked them if it was on their Daybreak program she heard it.

She was elated to find out that it was, and through them got in touch with the lady, Carolyn Anele, and was told the song is on a CD to be released next spring.

So, mystery solved.
