Another link with the greatest comedy series of all time has been severed with the death of Max Geldray age 88. Know as "Conks" in the Goon Show, he was credited as the world's first jazz harmonica player and played with the great Django Reinhardt in the 1930s. Sadly missed.

A great shame.... it used to be the bit in the record (too young to listen to it on radio originally), when I went to get a drink but after a while I stopped and listened.   It's responsible for my rediscovered love of jazz.
