Sure are...when are we not open?? The Club will be open Christmas Eve too but unfortunately I will be in Sunny Devon, where it rains eight days out of seven... at this time of the year.

Is Gainsborough Folk Club Child friendly?

My guess is that the Landlord can't have children in the room.

1. Not sure about the pub's policy on children - will have to check.
2. That New Years Eve at Kiveton was great indeed. Don't know of anywhere that is due a club night for this year's celebration.
3. We are by no means definite for tonight - Mike has to suffer the ministrations of the dentist this afternoon.

I can remember going to the Gainsbourough folk club years ago.My ex used to live there and i used to go there when i was on leave.I used to bring my banjo along and sang a few tunes,i was useless then and allways too pissed LOL.The only people i can remember was aguy who played the melodian and a guy who played an old zither banjo who often sat in a corner.
                      My couple of times there where great,drunk but a lot of fun.I live in Devon now and when i visit my parents in Lincoln next i might just pop in.Cheers all.

Another good night - nice to see and hear the "Ernie" stand-in. Very good. Also Colin and co. now famous for his Sally Army Band song. We didn't even request it this time. The "trio" seem to get better and better, really good stuff. Thanks everyone.
Merry Christmas too. Didn't have the pleasure of the long joke someone had in store for us. Perhaps that dental treatment did really take it's toll!! There's always another time. Hope the op. goes will too.

Thank you for the comment CG. We really have had little time to rehearse/practice with The Fence living in Louth, me being away and the usual problem of trying to arrange time to meet to fit in with life in General. However, we hope to get a bit more time together in the New Year to learn and gel.

I trust Harvey will have recovered in time as he called off yesterday's gig.

He is the business, after all these years -40 - he is the guvnor.
Just make sure he doesnt put the wrong fuel in his car as he did on his first visit to us. I've booked him 3 times in 3 years, each time a treat, so if you aint seen him ,then its your duty.

Mind you , he does respect George Papavgeris's efforts.

btw he he dont do encores so dont bother asking!!
