Brian Bisp (Wimborne Folk Festival, fool for Bourne River morris, etc.) is recovering from a stroke.

Message from Sue Perigo dated 18/12/2004 follows (copied from the Fabulous Fezheads circulation list):
'Yep - poor Brian. He had a stroke about 6 weeks ago - and wont be home for Xmas. My mum had a stroke a few years ago, and she was in hospital for nearly 3 months - so I reckon he'll be in at least another month.

That said - the Good News.... I went in to visit him last week, and his mind is unaffected - still sharper than mine and Maria's put together! Also, his verbal skills are unaffected, so he's able to chat okay. But physically, his left side has been affected - his left arm is totally unresponsive, and he can't walk - though the physio has had him standing up. It'll take time. Maybe he wont get full use of his arm back. But Maria's spending most of her time up the hospital with him, and is eager to get him out of there even if it means using a wheelchair for a while.

Christine Moore has jumped in to help out with organising the dancing side of Wimborne FF, so Maria is a bit more freed up. But it'll go ahead as per usual (think it's their 25th this year).

I'll probably pop in to visit again some time between Christmas and New Year and will let you know if anything changes.'

I don't know Brian, but if the thoughts of a stranger will be of any help with his recovery, please let him know I'll keep him in my prayers.
