have tried to find it in the data base .
for my sister , who is now among the "Absent Ones " . i have been asked to sing it , at the funeral Mass .
any help would be appreciated , (the name of the song in the data base , even the rest of the lyrics , ? )

1950's song , Bridie Gallagher type song , and these are the only words i can remember

Do you remember the Hawthorn bush,
We gathered every Spring
And do you remember the reels we danced
around the fairy ring

And do you remember the promise we made
beneath the chestnut tree
But most of all, my darling one
Do you still remember me ?

ABC of this would also be appreciated .
perhaps an email to me , to save clogging up the site ?

thanking ye in advance , jim troy.

Hi, Jim - Mick Bracken posted the lyrics here (click) under the title "Ballyhoe." I've found a recording of the song, a bit different from Mick's transcription. I'll post it later.
If anybody can prepare an ABC or MIDI of the tune, we'd certainly like it. We certainly wouldn't consider that to be "clogging up the site." ABC's can be posted directly in threads. Send MIDIs to me for posting.
