Ok, its over now. As much of BBC4 output is repeated, keep an eye open for "The Land of Green Ginger." I started watching it because it was a Harold Pinter Pinter and suddenly, you could hear Mike singing the background music.

Actually, I'm not sure it really worked theatrically, but as both the play and the music were enjoyable, who cares?

You misheard the author's name, it was Alan Plater, not Harold Pinter. I don't think Harold Pinter would have heard of Hull or the Watersons!
