Subject: Glastonbury Folk From: Llanfair Date: 27 Mar 05 - 06:02 PM Me and my collie, Monty, are having a short holiday in Glastonbury in April. Is the Tuesday folk night still happening?, and would Monty be allowed in? I can't leave him anywhere as he has separation issues........ |

Subject: RE: Glastonbury Folk From: Llanfair Date: 29 Mar 05 - 05:27 PM I must have read it wrong, there's an accoustic night in the cafe at the assembly rooms on a Tuesday. Being the cafe, Monty won't be welcome. Ah well. |

Subject: RE: Glastonbury Folk From: hilda fish Date: 29 Mar 05 - 07:32 PM I just read in my newspaper (and I believe everything I read) that Glastonbury Festival is to have one tent that stays open all night which will be a dance ' doof tent with the music as loud as you like - but each person has headphones so the neighbourhood wont hear a thing while those attending can blast their eardrums to kingdom come. Is that too good or is it a load of cobblers? |

Subject: RE: Glastonbury Folk From: Liz the Squeak Date: 30 Mar 05 - 02:08 AM I would put that under the heading of wishful thinking.... it would have to be cordless headsets - imagine the knot several hundred drunken dancers could get into with all those leads!!! The cost would be astronomical, and although Glastonbury is popular, it's not that rich! LTS |

Subject: RE: Glastonbury Folk From: Mrs_Annie Date: 30 Mar 05 - 04:55 AM It's true, I just read it on Ceefax. Confirmed by Mr Eavis himself. (Channel 4 Planet Sound p351) Rumour has it that Eddie Barcan of CFF has put together some acts for the Avalon stage. |
