Me and my collie, Monty, are having a short holiday in Glastonbury in April. Is the Tuesday folk night still happening?, and would Monty be allowed in? I can't leave him anywhere as he has separation issues........

Where is or was the folk club in Glastonbury, anyway?

I must have read it wrong, there's an accoustic night in the cafe at the assembly rooms on a Tuesday. Being the cafe, Monty won't be welcome. Ah well.

I just read in my newspaper (and I believe everything I read) that Glastonbury Festival is to have one tent that stays open all night which will be a dance ' doof tent with the music as loud as you like - but each person has headphones so the neighbourhood wont hear a thing while those attending can blast their eardrums to kingdom come. Is that too good or is it a load of cobblers?

I would put that under the heading of wishful thinking.... it would have to be cordless headsets - imagine the knot several hundred drunken dancers could get into with all those leads!!! The cost would be astronomical, and although Glastonbury is popular, it's not that rich!

It's true, I just read it on Ceefax. Confirmed by Mr Eavis himself. (Channel 4 Planet Sound p351)

Rumour has it that Eddie Barcan of CFF has put together some acts for the Avalon stage.
