My good friend Wolfgang drew my attention to this article and asked me to make it known in the Forum. [Some explanations for foreigners are added in angular brackets.]

Scandal in Bishop's Office – Opposition unanimous

Munich, April 1st, 2005.- An unexpected reproach against the Munich Archbishop's Office [catholic] happened in the last session of the Bavarian Free State's Parliament: Both extreme political parties, the Party of Democratic Socialism [extreme left] and the National Democratic Party of Germany [extreme right] launched an unexpected attack against the Archbishop's well known spokesman, Msgr. Andreas Wächter.

Monsignore Wächter was accused of offering to participate in pagan rites, e.g. dancing around a Maypole, in 2004, impersonated by a naked British folk singer viz. Miss Dr.lard. Fib. Mattocks. Scrutinizing his e-mails it was also found out that he participated in a discussion forum mostly concerned with bawdy songs, also supported by Japanese so called scientists and several other Kates, Sarahs and Daves. The Forum is known as Katzenwels [Mudcat].

Asked for a comment the Archbishop answered he wouldn't be surprised to see his former spokesman ending as a pennywhistler busking for his subsistence in Hull9, or even worse, in Barrows upon Humber sucking whelks.

One of the representatives of the Lutheran Church, Wilfried Schaum, also sharing the Archbishop's opinion, expressed his consternation to see his opposite number so disgraced by the joint adversary.
