I did a search here & found nothing with this title.

However, a Google found Nottingham Folk Club
As I may be in the area this Saturday I thought I'd start a thread, which 'local' 'catters may wish to add to

Someone from Nottingham was bewailing the lack of a Nottingham club, not long ago. Was it Muppitz?

A couple of years ago, on holiday, I did spots at the Robin Hood, and at Bingham. Great venues, lovely welcome, I'd recommend both of them to anyone as a good night out.

Got to the Nags Head & Plough (Stapleford) on the Saturday, a warm welcome, only about 10 singers, No instrumentalists there that evening.

Recommended!

Is the lack of instrumentalists the basis for your recommendation?

Mary and I dropped in on a singers night there recently, not many there but certainly some good singing. We took in loads of instruments (as usual) and nobody seemed to object - in fact we're booked in for a guest night later this year as a result.

BTW, try getting served with a glass of wine at the bar if you want a real comedy routine :-)

Dáithí (and everyone else) - you'd be very welcome at the Willow Roots FC meeting at the Willow Tree pub, Rufford Way, West Bridgford every Tuesday night 8.30 (-ish). Google for 'Willow Roots' for the website. All styles of songs, tunes, tales and poetry very welcome. Hope to see you soon - and perhaps I could just plug Dan McKinnon once more, 26th April!

Treewind:

No, the basis of my recommendation was the welcome & the singing.
However, as I don't play an instrument I felt more at ease than I have at other venues when it appears that self-accompaniment is expected
