Actually, I started this silly thread for a couple of serious reasons:

First, I wanted to test my hypothesis that the initial response to a thread topic sets the tone for subsequent responses. The topic had the potential to start either (A) a laugh riot, (B) a feeding frenzy, or (C) something in between, depending upon the reaction of the first respondent. So, who should be the initial respondent but my dear friend GUEST whose almost universal lack of popularity almost assures that anything he/she says is going to be ignored. We must remember to include the GUEST factor in future calculations.

Secondly, there have been a couple of recent threads where otherwise intelligent people have deluded themselves that there is some expectation of privacy or exclusivity where Web forums or chatrooms are concerned. Sorry, but there is absolutely no ownership nor any expectation of privacy when communicating in a public forum. This is not my thread! Once it's posted to a public forum it's everybody's thread.
