Apparently you haven't seen these dances. There is talk of banning this sort of dancing at our public high school and junior high dances as well.

To say they are "sexually suggestive" is an understatement. It's really humping each other with clothes on.

Personally, I don't think it's bothersome in terms of "morals". I just don't care to watch them do it, thanks. Banning this stuff at dances is stupid. But in public performances like the marching band and the cheerleaders--they've probably got a good point. People don't go to high school and college games to watch bimbo routines by the cheerleaders, or the tuba player hump the flute player.

As much as I think the dances are too suggestive, and as annoying as I found the double-standard at my high school (dress code required skirts to cover the knees, but cheerleaders could wear their uniforms to school, which just covered their butts), I think it's a waste of time. But the Texas state government is a total crock; we intentionally keep in weak and ineffectual. It's more of a past-time than a political institution.

But dancng is not the only thing that has gone too far. Recently I was saw a practice session of a Christian school wrestling team. After getting a guy into a Full Nelson, one kid demonstrated what they called a Father Nelson, and I was shocked and blushing.
