The Flying Chaucers return to The Oval Tavern, Oval Road, Croydon this Sunday 22nd May between 5 and 8pm. As it's a pub it's FREEEEEEE!

It's very close to east Croydon Station

What better way to prepare for the week ahead!!!

I got their album 'About Time' which I really enjoyed, so I am looking forward to see them play live. If you like traditional acoustic folk music, the Flying Chaucers are for you.

The pub does excellent beer and in between our sets you get to hear various music from the 1950s and 1960s on a genuine antique juke box.

We will have copies of "About time..." on sale at bargain value complete with surprise ending!!!

Cheers

Sarah

It's an even longer walk from Cambleforth, Yorkshire, where I'll be... one day I'll get to see these Flying Chaucers! So far, we've always managed to miss each other!

Hope it's a good one.

Thanks Jaze!...I take it you're not popping over the pond then!

We have got into Time Out listings too ...so party on!!!!

Did you play in the interval when Dick Gaughan was at Croyden Folk Club last yesr?

If so and this is the band I think it is, they're well worth catching. I was couldn't remember the name properly (I had thought it was Flying Chantys). I'm sorry I can't make it (North of the river and it's a schoolnight) but I'm sure all who can will be well rewarded!

YAAAAAYYYYYY Fiona ....another fan!!!!
yes twas us playing in God's (sorry Dick Gaughan's) interval last year at the Croydon Folk club. You will be relieved to hear that Chris our box player will only use the morris bells to accompany soldiers joy if bribed well in advance.

It finishes at 8pm and easy access from East Croydon station

Cheers

Sarah
