Hi there! The 15th Swansea Maritime & Shanty Festival is on over the weekend of July 22nd - 24th.

You can see & hear Baggyrinkle; Graeme Knights; Hanging Johnny; Hughie Jones; Johnny Collins; Joy Bennett & Chris Koldewey (USA); Roy Clinging & Neil Brookes: Shanty Crew; Shanty Jack and The Vagrants Crew.
Friday evening: The Schooners Bar, Maritime Quarter.
Saturday (day): National Waterfront Museum grounds; The Queens Hotel; The Swansea Museum and The Yacht Club in the evening.
Sunday (day): Same venues except for the Yacht Club.
Lots of family fun around the festival. It's all FREE!!

What a line-up. And what a shame to miss it, but I'll be shantying at Trowbridge with Shellbacks that weekend. Hope you have a great time.

Sometime after retirement, I hope to visit the UK long enough to experience all the great festivals the happen there. This should be a great one.

Swansea Maritime Festival 15th Year. Fri - Sun 22nd-24th July.

Come and see us at The Schooner Bar in the Maritime Quarter on Friday evening for an informal singaround.

The weekend continues with performers on the Main Stage at the Dylan Thomas Centre car park; The Swansea Museum for afternoon concerts; The Queens Hotel in the afternoon and a free concert with all the guests on Saturday evening at the Swansea Yacht Club.

Performers include: Joy Bennett & Chris Koldewey (USA); Hanging Johnny; Shanty Crew; Johnny Collins; Hughie Jones; Graeme Knights; Shanty Jack; Roy Clinging & Neil Brookes; Vagrants Crew and Baggyrinkle.

Always a wonderful, intimate, friendly festival. Highly recommended.

I'll be sorry to miss it as I'm with the Shellbacks at Trowbridge.

Perhaps you could book the Shells for Swansea next year, Dave, then I'd definitely be able to come. :-)
