Subject: Shaftesbury Bass - help From: Gray D Date: 19 Sep 05 - 08:50 AM Some good kind person, clearing out a garage, gave me a tatty old electric bass guitar. Divers googling leads me to believe that it may be a Shaftesbury copy of a Gibson EB-3L but, though I can find pictures of a Gibson original, I can't find any pictures or a specific Shaftesbury site that could confirm this. Anybode help? Gray D |

Subject: RE: Shaftesbury Bass - help From: Mooh Date: 14 Feb 07 - 08:10 AM The Blue Book of Electric Guitars has no trade listings, ie they don't trade in significant enough numbers to be listed with prices, but it does give some history. Most were made in Italy and japan as imports to the UK and were usually American design copies. You might search the names Peter Cook, Ned Callan, Simms-Watts, and CMI. Peace, Mooh. |
