Anybody have the words to this:

Says I to me self
I'll go to Thame Fair
I'll go to the meadow
And get the Grey Mare

Come on Old Lady
Come over old lady
We'll have us some fun over there
There away and oh there
We'er off to Thame Fair
Fol the rol the riddle de ree

It's on Dave Burland's second album - called I think just 'Dave Burland'. I think he learned from New Herritage, Keith Marsden and Brian Senior from Leeds.

Looks like it might be a variant of 'Horn Fair'. Shirley Collins sings a Sussex version of this on CD3 of her 4 CD set 'Within Sound'(Fledg'ling Nest 5001, 2002). There is also a Surrey version in Roy Palmer's book, 'Folk Songs Collected by Ralph Vaughan Williams', Dent, 1983 (recently re-issued as 'Bushes and Briars', I think).

No, they are completely different songs, they are both in the Dave and Toni Arthur Songbook, quote " this version was collected by A L Lloyd from a Mrs Carclay in Hampshire in 1943.

Thanks 'eric the red' - I stand corrected. Actually I don't possess the book that you refer to and I'm not a great fan of Dave Burland so don't have any of his records.
