When I first met my wife, she used to wear a leather mini and knee boots. She would always get the job when she went to the interview in that outfit.
Nice to see miniskirts are still around.

Haven't seen the Newcastle seasonal plumage variety but did encounter them (complete with bare midriffs) in various shapes and sizes not long ago on an extremely cold Durham winter's night...

(Never seen Ted's legs, but the picture that SL paints is not for the weak of stomach.)
(And for the posters who thought this was a car thread, The Mini wasn't particularly draughty, but most of them leaked and smelled of rotting carpets. The best ever round corners though.)

Mk I Minis had horizontally sliding windows on the passenger doors and didn't acquire wind-up windows for some years. I don't recall them being particularly draughty in either guise, but we were tougher back then. The new (BMW) Mini has electric windows and some even have air conditioning. How sybaritic!

However, either vehicle is sufficiently low-slung that the sight of a young lady clad in the eponymous garment attempting ingress to either the driver's or passenger's seat is a deeply pleasurable sight to someone of my antiquity! Provided, of course, that the lower limbs that are revealed in all their glory are pleasingly shapely.

Liz, there were some truly awful shades in the old BL Mini catalogue, and all were soon mingled with the tinge of ferrous oxide!

Presumably around the back of your neck? Mind you, in my younger and thinner days, I did travel several miles on the parcel shelf of a Triumph Spitfire, the two seats being taken up by two men, both of whom were over 6ft tall. That was interesting. I doubt very much I could do it now.... and definately not sober!

At 6'4" and big with it (and that was just the girlfriend!), coitus in Mini was not an option.

Managed it in a Mini Van and in an Austin A35, but broke the seat in the latter in flagrante delicto.

Always with the windows closed and steamed up, so not draughty.

Re. Lanfranc's post of 6:27. Told you he'd been a dirty young sod! I could tell by the way he dotted his 'i'.

My Minis were all white (originally), an 850, a traveller, and a 1071 Cooper S.
