Subject: What is this song?! From: meatball@wam.umd.edu Date: 26 Mar 99 - 10:42 PM I'm looking for a song with the following lyric: if you imagine the beat as 4/5 seconds the numbers show how the words fit in the beat. (this, sadly...is the best I can do) 1 2 3 4 5 teach (pause) your children well... and later the song switches (i think!) to: teach (pause) your parents well... it's one of those classic 70s songs. almost a lullaby. if you know what I'm talking about please email me with the name of the song. a pathetic description, but who knows...mabye I'll get lucky. It's not on this engine, or any other I've tried. |

Subject: RE: What is this song?! From: Susan A-R Date: 26 Mar 99 - 10:48 PM Oh My, it's a Crosby Stills Nash aond Young song. I think ht's just called "Teach Your Children Well" I'd enter it here, but I only get fragements, such as You out on the road must have a code that you can live by So teach your children well . . . did you ever ask them why? if they told you,. you would cry, so just look at them and sigh and say you love them, or something like that, Yes, the 70s did strange things to our memories. NO it is NOT that i'm 40.

I found it on an official CSN website (sorry forgot to write down the address) Meatball: please keep in mind, it is much easier and you will get help a lot faster, if you put a few of the lyrics you do know or the name of the song (if you know it)in the thread title. ***smile***
