It must be a real temptation for the powers that be in the western world to just say enough is enough and leave the Israelis and Palestinians to get on with it. Wipe each other out if thats what they want but why should it continue to concern the rest of the world?

A relatively small number of people, because they cannot see eye to eye, have managed to hold far more than their share of the worlds attention for far too long. There have been more than enough conferences, agreements etc over past sixty odd years and none of them have ever amounted to anything. These people have hated each other for millenia and nothing said or done by the UN, the US or anyone else will change that.

Let the rest of the world move on and leave them to it.
