No, I didn't of the Kitsap County ones. Most still lived on many small reservations, but the Illahee one was the only one I can recall that was close to any fairly good sized town. I did know slightly some that lived about a half-mile from where I did (not on a reservation). There's an annual Pow-Wow now that started after I'd moved away from the area, but went to once on a visit. One of my friends was an Indian but he came from Oklahoma. His father was a Cherokee Chief, a good title, but with no pay attached to it, so he went west. He worked in the navy yard, but after he retired he got pretty famous working for Indian rights in Washington (particularly fishing rights around Neah Bay).
