judy Tech: Judy's neat trick - opening new windows (17) RE: Judy's neat trick - opening new windows 11 May 98

What fun to see my name for a thread! Not only can you open each thread into a window but you can even do it offline (sort of):

I load in the forum and go offline. Then I open each thread I want to read into its own window and click the stop button (since I'm not connected.) I windowshade them closed (Mac). My desktop is full of of windows. I've had as many as 20. I wonder how many will make the computer crash? When I'm ready, I go back online and click each window and hit return which starts them all loading. I read one while the rest load and then go offline again to read and respond.

Bill D: where is the "personal tool bar"? And the other things you mentioned? Gosh, it looks like there's a bunch of stuff that might be of use that I don't know about. God forbid I should try to read the help file. It's like this neat picture cataloguer I found; iView. It is very easy to use and then I started READING the manual. Wow! it does all sorts of things. You can make a thumbnail poster or export in HTML. (I'm trying to make a website).

One thing someone told me about in Netscape is you can highlight one of the bookmarks and then command+i for info and you can see the actual URL and change its title and write comments. (My bookmarks are getting out of hand)

Glad to have been of some help
enjoy!
