Tug the Cox Bell on the Green (Fiddlers Green parody) (13) Bell on the Green 14 Nov 13

This is the first verse and chorus of a parody. I remember Byron Daniels of Blackheath Morris singing parts of this in the early 70's, and always thought he had made it up. ( his last line to the chorus was' and I'll see you someday when my bells have turned green')....does anyone have further info?
Bell on the Green
(parody of Fiddlers Green)
As I walked by the brewery one evening so r
are
To view the still vats and to sniff the malt air,
I heard an old Morris man singing this song
"Oh bury me here boys, me galleys have gone."
ch: Wrap me up in me bells and me baldricks.
No more in the pubs I'll be seen,
Just tell me old sidemates I'm t
akin' a slide, mates
And I'll see you someday at the Bell on the Green.
