Who remembers the Singers Club fronted by Tony, forgotten his second name, how could I? Big lad with a big beard and big voice from the North East. One of the founders of Southport Folk Club. It started in a pub near the tunnel entrance. Small room with some bamboo on the walls and some of the seats were sets of 3 or 4 from a cinema.
