The jackbooted stormtroopers of political correctness claimed another victim yesterday,

Head of volunteer agency canned for jerkiness

For those who disdain CNN as a news source, you can find the same story on the Daily Mail, which is apparently not so fastidious:

Trump Appointee Victim of Rampant Political Correctness

From the Mail:

"Carl Higbie hosted internet talk radio show called 'Sound of Freedom' before joining administration. CNN investigation revealed derogatory comments Higbie made about Muslims, race, women, LGBT people, veterans suffering from PTSD and immigrants.

"[Higbie was] appointed by President Donald Trump as Chief of External Communications for the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). CNCS said: 'Effective immediately, Carl Higbie has resigned as Chief of External Affairs at CNCS'"

"In radio broadcasts he had said: 'I just don't like Muslim people because their ideology sucks'
On illegal immigrant he added: 'Hey, everybody with a gun, if you want to go shoot people coming across our border illegally, you can do it for free'"

Here are a few more uncensored quotations, from the Mail, so if you have tender sensibilities or are eating, you might want to skip the next paragraphs and get the censored versions directly from the sources:

"Speaking on the show in June 2013, Higbie blasted Muslims saying: 'Go back to your Muslim shithole and go crap in your hands and bang little boys on Thursday nights.'"

"'I was called an Islamophobe and I was like, 'no, no, no, no, no, I'm not afraid of them. I don't like them. Big difference.' And they were like, "well, you're racist." I was like, fine if that's the definition of it, then I guess I am.'"

"'The whole African-American thing gets me whipped up because it's like 99 per cent - and I'm paraphrasing here - of people who write down African-American have never been to Africa. So barring dual citizenship, you're American or you're African, but you're not both

"There has been no comment from the White House on the CNN report."

"Ironically given that his role was to connect all backgrounds, further comments Higbie made during a show in January 2013 revealed that he did not like the phrase African-American:

'The whole African-American thing gets me whipped up because it's like 99 per cent - and I'm paraphrasing here - of people who write down African-American have never been to Africa.
So barring dual citizenship, you're American or you're African, but you're not both. I don't care what you think. That's another thing that just sets me off.'"

And later that year in December 2013 he said on a 'Sound of Freedom' broadcast that black women think 'breeding is a form of government employment'.

"One of CNCS best known initiatives is AmeriCorps which works with people in disasters, veterans and the disadvantaged:

"'I'd say 75 per cent of people with PTSD don't actually have it, and they're either milking something for a little extra money in disability or they're just, they honestly are just lying
However despite Higbie's military background he was also scathing of people suffering from PTSD blasting them as having a 'weak mind'. "

Of course, what the politically correct brigade doesn't realize is that it's 2018, not 2010. This kind of language is simply the cultural norm, from the President on down. If you're not saying these things, you're thinking them and just virtue signalling, right?

(I thought this was worth its own thread, but it could go in the Foulmouthed Trump thread if that seems best.)
