I was reminded of a visitor who passed through years ago.... she had written some new lyrics to Lily of the West. She may have been here 20 or 30 years ago....my memory is foggy.... I was just looking into the song Lily of the West and a recollection came drifting back... I have a vague memory some years ago of a Canadian songster travelling in this area who passed through....probably by bus... who had a version of Lily of the West she had written new words for..
Wish I could remember who she was.....I believe she returned to Canada and became a nurse....or possilbly a midwife...she played the fiddle...dear, me, my mind has slipped a cog.....does anyone recall this person, her name, or her mudcat nickname, or anything??!!
