Hi Lyn! Sheffield certainly has a great folk scene and I'd love to live closer. However there is still plenty of traditional music in the Birmingham area. My favourite club for a good traditional sing is the Black Diamond Folk Club founded 1964, now (after several moves) at The Lamp Tavern. The Red Lion is still going, too :) Make sure you get to Warwick festival in the summer, as well as Whitby Send me a PM if I can help further.
