Way way back in the mid 1960's I was in a group that used to perform at a venue in Southampton (UK) - and there was guy who also sang there...I seem to remember his name as - Eric Peterson; I really don't know the spelling of either of his names....But his best song by far was - The Highwayman, and at the time I did not know its origin, neither the text or tune. It was only many years later that I discovered it was a Noyes poem and that the tune was by Phil Ochs. I still love hearing the song and it takes me back to those years.... Tim Radford
