Irvine and Paul Brady playing zouks that are ornamented like Greek ones but have 4 courses and, to me, sound like flatbacks- Wearing of the Britches and a tune after Leagues O'Toole in his excellent book The Humours of Planxty touches on how the Irish bouzouki developed from the Greek one in the Sweeny's Men chapter with comments from Irvine and Moynihan.
