Those who know me know I don't drive and have to rely on others or public transport to get places. The arrangement for the Masons was that the landlord would pick me up at the Bowling Green in Wigan, and take me back afterwards. I didn't find out until 8.30pm last night that Andy (the landlord of the Masons) had been rushed into hospital on Thursday. By then it was far too late for me to make other travel arrangements, or to get in touch with others who had promised to come to the session.

My best wishes for a speedy recovery go to Andy, and my apologies for my absence to everyone who turned up. I tentatively arranged with Dawn, Andy's wife, that the session could go ahead without me, but as yet don't know what happened.

Under the circumstances, I don't know whether Dawn will still want future Friday sessions to go ahead, so will post further information when I know more.
