I reckon my favourite version of 'Johnny O'Briedisley' is MacColl's, but one of the premier Scots folk-rock bands from the 1970s did a nice rendition on the CD that they made when they reformed in 1995 to reprise some of their 'hits': JSD Band 'For The Record' Village Music Records VMCD 001 [Sean O'Rourke, Chuck Fleming, Jim Divers and Colin Finn].
