The record source options in Audacity apparently depend on your sound card. For example the ones I have are: CD player, wave out mix, mono out, phone, microphone.

I find VDownloader useful for downloading You Tube and some other videos. There are some You Tube files that it won't d/l though. Those can usually be d/ld with Real Player. VDownloader is also useful for changing formats of previously download files, e.g. extract mp3 from mpeg. VDownloader
