Subject: RE: '55-'69 Top 100 Internet Radio From: Cruiser Date: 17 May 04 - 11:46 AM I like to click on what's playing while listening to the SuperOldies stream, highlight the song that is playing the copy/paste the song and enter it into another search site (Search Oldies Top 100) at "Oldies Top 100 Song Lyrics" at: Search Oldies Top 100 That will give you a Google result then you check how high it charted by clicking on the link which takes you to the position on the Top 100 USA Chart or Chum (Canadian) Chart AND often gives you all the lyrics!. You can then go to the Oldies Top 100 site and see all the charted songs from that same year by clicking on the link at the bottom of the Google search screen [return to Top 100 Hits of "1958"] ("or any year from 1955 to 1984" Top 30 Hits are available from 1950 to 1956 before Top 100 started). Charts For the best memories: the SuperOldies stream and the best Oldies Chart site, an unbeatable combination. Cruiser |
Subject: RE: '55-'69 Top 100 Internet Radio From: DaveA Date: 17 May 04 - 06:23 AM It must be the flux.... I was browsing some old threads last night & found some interesting lists of the top hundred hits from 1950 thru 1969 & found myself feeling rather nostalgic (& wishing I still had vinyl capacity on my hi-fi) Aand now I come home from work & find this posting!!!! Thanks very much Cruiser - I appreciate it DaveA (enjoying some old stuff from another day) |
Subject: '55-'69 Top 100 Internet Radio From: Cruiser Date: 16 May 04 - 12:28 PM If you like to hear songs other than the same old Oldies, listen to this internet radio. The TOP #100 CASHBOX hits and including U.S. Regional, Canadian and UK hits, some rare. There is a good discussion on the Insider Monthly column explaining why radio stations play the same old Oldies and neglect the many other charted songs. Thanks to Shawn Nagy for SuperOldies.
