Subject: Music you'd forgotten you had From: Colin Randall Date: 11 Sep 07 - 11:56 AM Unashamedly inspired by the brilliant What Did You Listen To Last Night? thread, I wondered if anyone else has come across music they bought/acquired yonks ago - and, in a few cases (which shocks me a little) not so long ago at all - and had all but forgotten? Some store such stuff in the attic. Mine was in boxes in the unused garage I am currently planning a temporary move and poring over hundreds of CDs, which will have to stay put, to put as much as I can on to my Ipod. So just off the top of my head.. some of the many bands i've neglected somewhere in dusty boxes stored in the attic back at me old mums house.. XTC, Talking Heads, Mink Deville, Fun Boy 3, The Beat, Television, Au Pairs, Slits, The Fall...... |

Subject: RE: Music you'd forgotten you had From: Irene M Date: 11 Sep 07 - 03:14 PM What? Tell me about it! I have loads of Folk on 2 and Folkweave sessions on cassette from 1975 onwards, wonderful obscure singer-songwriters like Hedley Kay,Ian Clarke and Christopher Rowe (?). Also wonderful second hand record finds like Stuart Marson's Night Falls on the Orchestra, and Frogmorton. (I was the weird kid who had pictures of The Yetties on the wall, when the rest of the girls had Donny Osmond and the Bay City Rollers!) Man.............. Irene |
