I saw Pete Atkin as the support act to a rock band back in the 70s. Before the show, I thought that he'd die a death playing to an audience that had come to see some very heavy outfit. Much to my surprise, he went down realy well. very good he was,too.

Yes, saw him & Clive James on tour a few years ago- CJ sang once! An excellent evening, and all the old LPs available on CD along with some fresh material- well worth seeking out

A friend introduced me to Mr Atkins songs many years ago and he had one of the oddest (and most intriguing ) lines in a song ever
" In my room I have the plans of the first exploding handshake
