This was going through my head today when I heard that Caroline (Kennedy) would like to seek Hillary Clinton's Senate seat... but this is all I could remember. I still picture her as a little girl riding a pony, and standing solemnly watching her Daddy's casket going by.

I remember this much of the song from when I was young:

I remember it playing on the radio, and it seems to me that it played through twice, with an interlude between two verses, but I can't recall any of the second verse (which replaced the "Hide 'n Seek" part.) I also still remember the tune!

ha! My father wrote this song. I sang it on Play Your Hunch where a panel hosted by Merv Griffin chose the real singer (not me, but my best friend Jo Ann Morse) after we mouthed the words while the recording played. I can still sing the whole thing, but you can hear it as one person said, clear as a bell, on the YouTube link that still has it up. My father, by the way, is still very much alive and kicking at age 91, but i have lost track of Jo Ann. I believe Dave DaNoon (sp?) wrote the lyrics.

Does anybody remember a poem that was written about john john at the funeral?
I think it was titled "john john" one of the lines was" I watched my daddy's casket go
by" it also included a line about john john standing at attention when his daddy went by
