Brakn mo chara, thank you very much for posting the chords. Tonight I dig out the guitar and set about learning this tune. Folks, I will be making a home recorded album of rebel songs - folksy and grainy sound to the recording in all probability - to raise funds to directly support the families of Republican POWs. The oldest printed copy I can find is in Irish Come-All-Ye's by Manus O'Conor (New York: L. Lipkind, 1901), page 131.

The title given there is I LOVE OLD IRELAND STILL. It gives no author attribution and no tune.

Lyrics are identical to those posted by Frank Maher above.
