I went TO the site, then copied the address directly from the box, and pasted it into my attempt and it worked. I don't see what differenct it makes, but it worked.

Marion writes some incedibly beautiful songs. Everyone should take advantage of her generous offer of the tape. And Wilbyhillbilly(love that name):>) has done an excellent job on the CD.

If the *complete* web address is not used (i.e, including the "http://" part), the link won't take you outside the Mudcat site. The easiest way to make sure you get it right is to go to the "target" site and copy the *actual* complete address line.

It took me a while to realize this.

Ditto on the offer. Marion gave me a tape last summer when she was in town and I keep it on tap in the truck. When people ask me , Who's that !?", I get to say, "That's a Mudcat buddy of mine. Gave me that tape personally." Good tunes man.

Sorry, Tarheel, I didn't see this thread until Monday, and I wouldn't have a way to listen to the internet broadcast anyway. Ah well, I know what my songs sound like already, eh? But I'm glad that you're helping spread them around.

Thanks Jaze and Gnu. So is that truck still going, Gnu? I'm actually talking about a different tape from the one you have - I made it at the end of my trip, and it mostly contains songs I wrote on the road. More songs, and better ones. If you'd like a copy, PM me your mailing address.

I have been listening to Marion's songs--thanks, Wilbyhillbilly for the cd--for quite a few months now and I do have some favorites. The Girl at Pape and Danforth -- Catnip Blues -- What He Could Give (Sarajevo).
Those are some really good songs.
I havemade copies and passed them on, always including Marion's notes and I am waiting now to hear from the people who have them. I am hoping they will be added to some other performances now.

You first. I refuse not to be allowed to at least "cover your costs" this time. The truck is/was fine. Turns out the gas cap was faulty, causing a vacuum in the tank and resulting in erratic fuel delivery. Too bad it shortened your tour of the area. Shit happens.
