For a great night at Otley Folk Club last night. It was a pleasure to do the floor spot at your show.

For those who weren't there, you a missed a blinder. George Papavgeris writes the kind of songs us other writers wish we'd written, particularly when it comes to writing love songs for ones SO.

Whilst George is wholly original and unique his songs remind of the writing of Billy Bragg and Karine Polwart, both top dollar writers IMO. George is up there with 'em. No wonder other peeps cover his songs.

So which were his best songs for you?

We have been priveleged to have had George as our resident singer/songwriter at Windward since 2001 after meeting at a singaround and then he became my backing singer!!! so we are very pleased for him.

as a matter of interest which 2/3 songs stood out for you from last night

You have a great voice Gerry, so which songs will you be covering in the future?

My favourites from last night were The Flowers And The Guns and Anytown. I fancy covering Anytown with me Telecaster in a kind Billy Bragg way.

Go for them, after all if F n G is good enough for Vin Garbutt, it'll make a change to have George's songs covered by a proper singer!!!!!

Dont get me wrong I love Vin and George's vocals. rewally truly, just canna oonderstand Vin man

Dont know of any singer who has tried 'Anytown' - yet

I'm sure George will be most supportive an' flattered
