02 Mar 10 - 05:54 AM (#2853897) Subject: RE: Wendy Arrowsmith - London 15th March From: folkandroots The point of that unfortunately was that I entered part of the link incorrectly, the below link works |
02 Mar 10 - 05:59 AM (#2853900) Subject: RE: Wendy Arrowsmith - London 15th March From: GUEST,Ed Not for me. I still get a "You must log in to see this page." message. |

02 Mar 10 - 06:10 AM (#2853913) Subject: RE: Wendy Arrowsmith - London 15th March From: GUEST,Ed Have reset everything, and tried with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome. Still can't see the page without joining Facebook, which I don't intend to do. |
02 Mar 10 - 06:20 AM (#2853923) Subject: RE: Wendy Arrowsmith - London 15th March From: folkandroots Ed not wanting to join facebook is thoroughly understandable, I tested the link (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=171121007268)in a different browser and it works fine for me without logging in, but the information is basically the same as presented in the other links anyway, i.e Wendy will be playing at The Wilmington Arms, Rosebery Avenue, Clerkenwell on the 15th March. Wendy's hyperspace home for anyone unfamiliar is www.wendyarrowsmith.com and the location of the venue is www.multimap.com/s/jDAATnkc, within reasonable walking distance of Kings Cross, Angel, and Farringdon tubes and several bus routes. |
02 Mar 10 - 09:56 AM (#2854075) Subject: RE: Wendy Arrowsmith - London 15th March From: Banjiman If you've not heard Wendy live there is a full 2 hour broadcast of her gig from The Star Folk Club, St Andrews in the Square Glasgow on Celtic Music Radio - 1530 am for those near Glasgow and on -line at Celtic Music Radio . Thursday 4th March 10pm - midnight. I think it will also be available via the "Listen Again" facility from the Celtic Music Radio Website following the broadcast. This was recorded live last Thursday night.... the acoustics at The Star are amazing (a 3.5 second echo!), it's a magnifificent old church. I wonder if they'll edit out the broken string incident? |
02 Mar 10 - 06:31 PM (#2854522) Subject: RE: Wendy Arrowsmith - London 15th March From: GUEST,cmr-ross Have just finished editing the concert for broadcast. Wendy is brill! 03 Mar 10 - 11:55 AM (#2855048) Subject: RE: Wendy Arrowsmith - London 15th March From: GUEST,Ed For those south of the river Almost all of the country is north of the Thames.... The Mersey is a much better river anyway. |
03 Mar 10 - 04:22 PM (#2855283) Subject: RE: Wendy Arrowsmith - London 15th March From: Mrs Banjiman Apparently the string break remains in on the CMR broadcast. Possibly the sound of it echoing around for 3 1/2 seconds followed by 3 1/2 seconds or more of me cursing was just too good radio to delete... "Wendy Arrowsmith snaps her G string live at The Star" may entice the wrong kind of audience!!!! (Sincerely hope it doesn't happen again at Wilmington Arms a week on Monday!) |
04 Mar 10 - 05:51 PM (#2856235) Subject: RE: Wendy Arrowsmith - London 15th March From: Banjiman Kive on Celtic Music Radio now. See link above. |
