20 Jun 01 - 05:45 PM (#488258) Subject: Eric Bogle Songbooks? From: SoloTheatre Hi there, I have been searching for almost 18 months for the Eric Bogle Songbooks. Have even emailed some Australian shops , with no luck. Any suggestions of where to look or who to contact to buy them would be much appreciated. I have a particular craving to be able to play He's "Nobody's Moggy Now" and the "Silly Slang Song." Thanks in advance Joshua |

The publisher was: Stormwarning Music 1516 24th Street N.W. Calgary, Alberta, Canada T2N 2P9 A note inside says "Published in Canada by agreement wth Larrikin Music Pty. Ltd., First published in Australia by Larrikin Music." At that time Dusty Strings, in the Fremont section of Seattle carried quite a bit of Bogle stuff, on a hit-or-miss basis. Sorry I don't have their phone no immediately at hand - maybe someone else can come up with it. John

20 Jun 01 - 08:26 PM (#488365) Subject: RE: Help: Looking for Eric Bogle Songbooks From: IvanB I have 'The Songs of Eric Bogle, published circa 1980, but I'm not willing to give it up. You might try a Digitrad Lyrics search on 'bogle.' It returned 23 sets of lyrics, including the two you're looking for (neither are in my songbook), and one has a tune file as well. |

01 Dec 02 - 07:12 AM (#838204) Subject: RE: Help: Looking for Eric Bogle Songbooks From: Bob Bolton G'day Mick, I was in Da Capo - secondhand music shop, in Glebe, Sydney today. The currently have quite a few copies of all three Eric Bogle songbooks - plus both the "Stormking", Calgary, reprint of the first book ... and the Irish 'expanded' (further illustrated) version of that one, by Ossian (undated, but presumably ~ 1985). I bought a copy of that, for Aust$12 - just to round out the collection! Most of the book seemed to be Aust $12 local price - probably US$6 plus postage/packing for overseas sales. Their web site is at: < www.dacapo.com.au/ > and has purchase details, which I won't bother repeating. Regards, Bob Bolton |

30 Nov 05 - 12:32 AM (#1616933) Subject: RE: Help: Looking for Eric Bogle Songbooks From: Bob Bolton G'day Rainer, (I should use Babelfish to translate ... but you may be able to read my English ...) I have three different Eric Bogle Song Books, as published in Australia, plus extra Irish and Canadian editions of the first book. These are not for sale. I'll check with book sites such as Da Capo ... who often have copies of the first book ... if not the later editions. |

Hope this helps someone. |
30 Nov 05 - 07:15 PM (#1617614) Subject: RE: Help: Looking for Eric Bogle Songbooks From: Bob Bolton G'day Gnomad, I translate Rainer's posting as: "For years I've been searching for the lyrics and chords of Eric Bogle (songs). I only find the same songs. Do you have two (different) song books ... or do you know someone that has? Do you have any for me?" ... ... so I guess the bare information on Wee Eric's site doesn't really help! Rainer: I have checked my usual sources and they do not have any of the Eric Bogle Songbooks in stock. Sorry! (Ich habe meine üblichen Quellen überprüft und sie haben nicht irgendwelche des Eric Bogle Songbooks auf Lager. Traurig!) [translated by babelfish / übersetzt durch Babelfish] Regards, Bob |
