Which part of Bucks, Michael? North Bucks has the stuff in Stony Stratford and Olney has Julie B's session (I think) and Whittlebury and Winslow and all that stuff...

I know for a fact there's stuff on in Aylesbury, Naphill, Chesham, Tingewick - so I suppose the accurate answer to your wuestion is 'yes'.

Anyway, welcome to Mudcat.

Julie B's session in Olney is actually Pat's (non-Mudcat) session in Wollaston at the moment (The Cuckoo, Wollaston, 1st Monday in the month). There's Bedford FMC at the King's Arms, St Mary's St, Bedford every Thursday (singarounds, with the occasional guest night)

And I thought you were talking about Bucks County, north of Philadelphia. Silly me...

Is that (Pat's, non-Mudcat) session, or Pat's, (non-Mudcat session)? FMITM is also The Bell, New Bradwell, Milton Keynes (run by Paul Manning)

Just over the border in Cookham there's the Maidenhead Folk Club, which meets on Thursdays, and there's one near High Wycombe on Wednesdays.
Both a friendly, welcoming places with nice people and good guests- give 'em a try.
One I haven't been to, but have heard good things about , is the Tudor Folk Club, which meets on Mondays at Chesham. The estimable Martin Nail has a great page of resources and listings for clubs and sessions here which may be able to fill in a few gaps.
And for music sessions in Bucks, try here, although some of the listings may be a tad out of date and need a phone call to confirm.

- I think there's usually a fairly informal thing at the Gibralter at Batford on Tuesdays as well.

Cheers, Terry
