Lots of boats and boaty things plus mini beer festival, the odd boatie folky and maybe a session or two. The Festival is to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the re-opening of the basin following restoration. Information on the British Waterways website. |

It's usually well attended by boaters mainly of whom are into folk music. Linda and I are hoping to get there at some point, although I won't have the boat with me. I notice that this year it's being opened by my old mate Dave Blagrove who is well known (or perhaps notorious) on the cut for his singing and songwriting. |
