Hi there! So this is a tune by Hanneke Cassell, that i would very much like to learn...........'cept i don't learn by ear worth beans. Does anyone have notation or abc on this one? Would greatly appreciate it. I emailed the lady herself, to see if i could buy a bare bones copy, but no reply. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Gypsy, here it is in abc format. Copy and paste into Concertina.net, then click on "submit" and you will have the score and a midi file.
This is indeed a very nice tune. After listening to it several dozen times, I transcribed it (not too difficult). Hannake will be performing in Seattle on Nov. 11th. But then Liz Carroll will also be performing here the same night. That's a difficult choice to make. I will be going to Liz Carroll's concert and her workshop earlier that day at Dusty Strings.

Hey everyone, this is the coolest website.......even easier to use than my abc program, everyone should play with this. A tip of me hat to Stewart for introducing it to me, and getting me this tune. I will be the hero of the band. Thanks again, i truly appreciate it.

Minor glitch. I couldn't get it to translate.

Sorcha, if you get a blank line at the top after you paste the abc, then it will hang up. So make sure there are no blank lines.

When you paste the ABC into the "convert-o-matic" you will notice that there is a space before the "X1" on the first line.
That's all it takes to fail!!!!
Get rid of that space and Hey presto!

Jake

You can listen to the whole tune (4.06 min) played by Hanneke on PureVolume.com
Or a 2 min portion on her website or at CDBaby.

Well, the title makes us giggle cuz we have the infamous JP here in our area..........gasp, and accordian player. On his CD's he uses the name Sylvester BelMondeCane. And yes, he is a ladies man, so it is apropos. But no, i have no clue as to who the JP is that the waltz is written for.
