Sad news. Kirsty MacColl has died. She was swimming in the sea, in Mexico and was hit by a speedboat. I don't know any further details yet.

Gone to the great chip shop in the sky...

I am so sad to hear this news. Kirsty was one of my favourite singer/songwriters, talented, funny and pretty. I'm going to miss her a lot.

I was just telling Micca that long, long ago at Dumfries Folksong Club I played backing on guitar for a young child who was with her parents, who were the guests that night. She was a lovely child, already with a sweet voice. She turned into a very talented songwriter. I never met her again, but I'll miss her.
