Last night Emmylou was on the Bill Maher Politically Incorrect show. She didn't talk much, actually- nice voice, though!

Incidentally, I don't agree that this show is meant just as entertainment; I think it's meant to be a serious show, within the confines of entertainment. It has definite limitations- discussion often is strident and fragmented- but it often does introduce me to people that I want to know better.

I frequently don't agree with Maher- he's fairly predictable in his views. On the other hand, I seldom agreed with William F. Buckley in the 'old days' either and I still listened to him because his views were stimulating.

I don't think I agreed with a single thing Buckley ever said, but I loved to hear him talk.
