Those of you who know Pat will be pleased to hear that he is over surgery that could have threatened his voice, and is recovering well.
Pat was allways the first to help fellow peformers, and here in Germany we all wish him well, he was not able to travel to Australia. which many looked forward to, but he will resume his
concert schedule in July, best wishes Pat.

I was looking forward to his visit to NZ, and renewing acquaintance with him. I haven't seen him since his beard was jet black!

I had a great time with Pat in Rothenburg ob der Tauber a couple of weeks ago. His singing was great ... I hope all is well and we'll meet again soon.

Thanks for the good wishes folks. I was having trouble with my breathing after a long tour and after seeing a specialist and having a scan they found I had a bad sinus infection and a nose defect which had to be broken and re-set.
I spent ten days in hospital, and the nature of the operation meant that I could't fly for four weeks, I was also told not to sing for
some weeks untill the nose was stable.
The voice was badly affected at first but now it's allmost back to normal, but the breathing is great.
I have a sick note till the end of June and then I can play a full gig again.
The one bonus was that as I didn't go to Australia I was able to
spend a very enjoyable weekend with Jim Maclean in Rothenburg.

Cheers, Pat.

Good to hear you're recovering, but follow the Doctor's advice about resting the voice, or he'll be down on you "like a ton of bricks!"

Sorry to hear about the hospitalisation. I had a similar operation five years ago and I didn't enjoy it at all. Glad to hear you are on the mend. I'll be in touch over the next few days. I am sure Guinness is a good medicine for it!
